Bluedeathvalley.com: As twin sisters, you were two of the most recognizable A&T volleyball stars in recent memory. What have you both been up to since your playing careers ended? Darlene: We both graduated with degrees with Sports Science/Fitness Management. Since July, I’ve been working as the assistant sports information director here at A&T, alongside Brian Holloway. I've also tried to start a modeling career, but that is now on hold due to the fact that I’m working fulltime. What’s the biggest misconception some people may have about you two? Darlene: I’ve been told that I look unapproachable, which is not true!! What do you think is the biggest difference between you and your twin sister? Darlene: I am way more blunt than Arlene in regards to what I say. What is the best way for someone to tell you guys apart? Darlene: I am slightly taller than my sister and I have a mole above the left side of my lip. Have you ever tried to fool someone by pretending you were your sister? Darlene: In person no, but over the phone yes. If someone called her phone and she wasn't able to answer, I would answer for her and pretend to be her until she came to the phone. Do you both have similar taste in men? Darlene: No way!! What is the craziest pick-up line someone has ever tried to use on you? Darlene: ‘Can I date you and your sister?’… like that would ever happen. Would you ever feel comfortable asking a guy for his number? Darlene: No, I can honestly say I wouldn’t. Both of you are known for having great figures. How do you stay in shape? Darlene: Well I try to eat as healthy as possible. We are also personal trainers and have to stay in shape for the clients, so we work out at least three days a week. What do you both see yourselves doing in five years? Darlene: I see myself wanting to do a lot of things in the next five years. Hopefully I would have launched a modeling career by then, or I’ll be coaching or still working for A&T. And lastly, how does it feel to both be selected an official Blue Death Valley Girls? Darlene: My sister and I really appreciate being selected as Blue Death Valley Girls. It really gives us chance to let people know that we are both very personable young women.
